On Wednesday 1st July we had a wonderful morning’s session. The weather was perfect, Maia was back for the first time this year with her joyous smile and we welcomed our special benefactors from the Royal Sussex Lodge 342 to watch proceedings.
The Royal Sussex Lodge 342 has very generously contributed to the new carriage that Maia was driving, together with other equipment such as the lovely red and blue reins, and is helping to support our work in 2026.
Not only that, but for the first time we had two turnouts in the arena at the same time, David with Maia driving Jim and Lesley with Gail driving Hugo. David and Lesley are our coaches. Everything went beautifully and the ponies excelled themselves. Considering it was first time out for Jim this year, he put on a superb show and reminded us of his glory days at the Nationals way back in 2019. After Maia and Gail had dazzled with their prowess, it was the turn of two of our visitors to have a go and I believe they enjoyed it very much.
